ChatGPT's has clear favourable brands in each spirit category

Tanquaray Gin, Bulleit Bourbon & Rye, Bacardi Rum, Patrón Tequila and José Cuervo Tequila are all picked 100% of the recipes where they compete in. Absolut Vodka is favourable in the vodka category, chosen in 80% of the vodka-based recipes. While it sometimes gives an option of two brands, these are clearly favourable in ChatGPT's brand recommendation.

The study shows that there is common characteristics of the brands chosen by the AI. Reputation for Quality, Popularity and Fit with Cocktail Flavor Profile are some of the charactersitics.

These characteristics indicate a preference for well-established, reputable brands that contribute to high-quality, authentic, and enjoyable cocktail experiences. The AI's selections are geared towards ensuring that the drinks are made with ingredients that are not only individually excellent but also work well together in the context of the specific cocktail recipes.
